This educational toy is a modified version
of Effron’s rectangles and is used to assess
size perception. The Rectangles Game
contains two groups of rectangles. The
total surface area of each rectangle is the
same. A child with normal eyesight can
distinguish between the longer and the
shorter rectangles—often before the age
of 3 years. If the child has difficulty making
this distinction or does not understand the
instructions, the LEA Rectangles Game can
help determine whether or not the child has
a specific visual acuity problem. Includes
instructions and 10 colored rectangles (5
black, 5 gray) in 5 sizes with a total area of 4"
(10.16 cm) each.
